Our Chapter, through the Ladies Auxiliary, has been supporting the Byron Elementary School's Cadet Leadership Program/Junior ROTC program.  It is the only elementary school in Georgia to have such a program.  Over the past several years, enrollment of 3rd to 5th graders has steadily increased to a current total of 94 students..

The color guard has been invited to perform at a number of local community activities.  They attended one of our recent chapter meetings and were very impressive as they posted the colors.  Their ROTC instructor gave a very compelling and informative presentation and stated how supportive the school administration was in getting this program off the ground.
